Between the energy of New York City and the calm of Connecticut’s shoreline lies one of our busiest routes — the NYC ↔ Connecticut corridor. This is one of our favorite routes — quick, direct, and perfect for small moves, art deliveries, and designer projects. Every trip is a private and direct, so your items go straight from point A to point B without detours, reloads or mix-ups. Whether it’s a few pieces from a Manhattan apartment or a designer delivery to Greenwich or Westport, we make the process easy and stress-free.

Our extra-care approach comes from years of working with art galleries, collectors, and interior designers, so we know how to handle delicate or high-value pieces. Every move gets the same attention — from padded wrapping and floor protection to secure tie-downs inside our Mercedes Sprinter. It’s smoother than a box truck and keeps your items safe from bumps and vibrations. Need a hand on both ends? We can include a helper or add art packing and installation — whatever makes your move easier.

Most of our small moves and art deliveries fall under our standard flat-rate pricing.
Flat rates cover a private load with up to ~30 minutes at pickup and ~30 minutes at drop-off, padded wrapping, floor protection, and secure tie-downs. Rates assume easy access and legal loading.
However, please note that the prices listed above do not include:
- any additional packing (beyond standard moving blankets),
- the Manhattan congestion toll ($20)
- COI (Certificates of Insurance) if they are required by your building,
- flights and stairs (usually we don’t charge for one flight),
- long carries (where it’s impossible to park a van near a pick-up location),
- very heavy or oversized items
- parking tickets, if incurred due to lack of legal space, are customer’s responsibility
So, if you’re planning to move more than just a few standard pieces of furniture and a dozen medium-sized boxes, it’s a good idea to fill out the form below to receive a more accurate quote.

Frequently Asked Questions About Small Moves: Hamptons ↔ MA
How long does a move from NYC to Connecticut take?
Most NYC–Connecticut moves are completed within the same day. For Fairfield County (Greenwich, Stamford, Westport) it’s usually 3–4 hours total, including loading and unloading.
Moves to Hartford, Litchfield, or New London may take 4–6 hours, depending on access and traffic.
Do you also serve other areas in the region?
Yes — besides NYC ↔ Connecticut, we also operate along the Hamptons ↔ Connecticut and NYC ↔ Boston / Rhode Island routes.
We can often combine deliveries or align same-day transfers between these regions for better efficiency.
What kind of moves do you specialize in?
We focus on small residential and designer moves, single-item transport, and art or furniture deliveries that require extra care.
Our cargo van service is perfect for apartments, studios, or seasonal homes where a large truck isn’t necessary.
Can you help with art installation once the move is complete?
Absolutely. Our team has years of experience in art installation, mirror hanging, and light furniture setup.
We can unpack and position key pieces as part of your delivery — especially useful for designers and collectors.
Do you move large households?
Not typically. We specialize in compact, extra-care moves rather than full-house relocations.
However, we can handle multi-van jobs or coordinate with our trusted partners for larger projects.
Do you provide Certificates of Insurance (COI) for buildings in NYC or Connecticut?
Yes — we can issue COIs for most residential and commercial buildings across NYC, Fairfield County, and beyond.
Simply send us your building’s COI requirements before booking.
Can you handle last-minute or same-day moves?
Yes — whenever possible. We frequently manage same-day or next-day requests along the I-95 corridor, and can often combine runs with nearby routes like NYC–Hamptons or Hamptons–CT.
Are the rates the same in both directions (CT → NYC)?
Yes. Our flat rates apply both ways, whether your move starts in Connecticut or New York City.
Can you deliver and install artwork in one trip?
Yes — that’s one of the things that makes HandyVan unique.
Our background in professional art installation means we can deliver, unpack, and hang artwork all in a single visit. Whether it’s framed art, mirrors, or a full wall arrangement, we bring the right tools — laser level, hanging hardware, anchors, and protective gloves — so installation can be completed immediately after delivery.
This service is ideal for collectors, designers, or homeowners who want their pieces properly placed on the same day they arrive, without waiting for a separate installer.
Do you provide packing for framed art or mirrors?
Yes. We offer optional professional art packing for framed artwork, mirrors, and delicate decor items. Packing can be added to any small move or art delivery for a modest additional fee — perfect for long-distance routes such as NYC ↔ Connecticut, Hamptons ↔ CT, or Hamptons ↔ Boston, where pieces need to stay fully protected during transit.
